On November 12, 2016 numerous peaceful protests and gatherings were held in NYC in reaction to Tuesday's election naming Donald J. Trump the 45th President of the United States of America. Trump's campaign has criticized for being racist, bigoted, and misogynistic. These photos are from a protest that formed around noon in Union Square and then marched down 5th Avenue to Trump Tower. More than 10,000 people were in attendance. Some of the chants included, "Shame," "We reject the president-elect," "My body, my choice," and "No hate, no fear, refugees/immigrants are welcome here."
